Alright, so I just figured I'd vent here and maybe see if anyone has any thoughts on the matter
In recent years, technology has advanced extremely quickly, and yet instead of these advancements being meaningful and increasing the potential of the human race, instead we've sought to make life easier. Now, there's nothing wrong with making life a little easier, but it's gotten to the point where I've started to wonder what the point of a person is anymore.
We have entire restaurants run by robots, you can get your groceries without ever needing to even see another human being, and you can do all of your banking needs without even needing to be in person. The problems of actors and actresses growing older or dying is no longer an issue thanks to Deep Fake technology, and now we have possibly the worst addition of all: AI art generators.
No longer does a person need to purchase a piece of artwork from an actual human being, now they can pay $15 a month and get roughly 2 billion art pieces a day from an AI art generator. No longer does art take time, effort, imagination, creativity, talent and skill, now you only need to type key words into a program and it gives you what you want. So the question is "Why pay a real artist?"
Integrity, respect, a desire to further the market are all well and good, but when it could cost you $30-$200 depending on the piece, is it any wonder why people would choose an AI to make their art instead?
